Tangier is situated in the Northwestern part of Morocco, open to the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. It also the most northwestern part of the African continent and the closest part to Europe.

Tangier is the home of about 1.4 million of inhabitants.

There is an interesting mixture of languages in Morocco. The country has two main and official languages, which are Arabic and Tamazight (Berber language). The vastly spoken language or dialect is Moroccan Arabic, also known as Darija.

The first foreign language is French. It is widely used in administrations, education and so many others. The majority of Moroccans speak in French or at least understand it.

However, English is quickly gaining recognition and admiration. The youth is now more invested in learning English and there is a community of English speakers that prefer it over French.

Morocco’s weather is as different as its regions. It is very Mediterranean in the North, as the beaches are windy and the temperature is somewhat stable. When heading south, the weather changes to a rougher one. Winters can be very chilly and summers are burning hot.

Delicious, rich and colorful spices are ruling in Morocco. The food is well dressed and varies according to the regions. The vegetables and fruits are fresh and full of flavors.

The meals usually consist of different courses; an appetizer, a main course and desert. The starters or appetizers are mainly salads or soups depending on the season. For the main course, Tajine, Couscous and many other options can be presented. Desert is usually the seasonal fruits.

There is no dress code in Morocco. You can wear what you are comfortable in depending on the season. It is just like any other place, where the youth is interested in the same things and express themselves in different way. However, the conservative nature of some of the elderly would impose a somehow decent and plane clothing style in some areas.

Everyone would love to make the memories live forever, which is why we take pictures. Morocco is a photographer heaven. The country is culturally rich, and naturally diverse. You will get the chance to memorize the details of the landscapes, the architecture and the lifestyle.

The people are very friendly and nice to foreigners. You can take pictures around the city and on the outskirts. You can ask for the person’s permission if you want to portrait what you find interesting and freeze the moment forever.

The Moroccan Dirham (MAD) is the country’s official currency. 1 US Dollar is about 9.5 Mad and 1 euro is about 10 10.7 MAD. The rates change and some bank charge a small cut for exchanging the currency. Thus, make sure you do so at the exchange office with a better rate.

You can use your cards in hotels, restaurants and other modern and bigger places. You can also use the ATM. You can use a money belt to collect all your cash, passports and important documents.

Beside the Moroccan Dirham, some facilities may accept Euro or US dollar but not often. As for our tour, you can either pay in Euro, USD or MAD.

The method of payment is related to you. You either pay cash at the end of the tour, or through our payment link using your card.

Toddler and babies up to 2 years old are not charged for. There is a 30% discount for children from 2 years old and up to 7 years old.

The guests usually take the ferry from Tarifa to Tangier at 9 am. During the high season, there is a ferry leaving the port every two hours starting from 9 am. The return schedule from Tangier depends on whether you would like a morning ferry (is you are spending the night in Tangier), an afternoon ferry, or an evening ferry.

Morocco and Spain are now both on the same time zone. The GMT + 1 has been recently adopted in Morocco; which means that both countries now are on the same timing

It is recommended that you take the fast ferry, which you can add as an extra to the tour. You will be booked with the FRS ferry company, which are known for their regular ferries that run around the year.

When booking the round trip ferry tickets, the common schedule is taking the 9 am ferry from Spain. However, there are ferries every two hours during the high season.

In case of any last minute changes or cancellations please contact +212 618 50 40 30. It is recommended that you arrive to the terminal 1 hour ahead of the ferry departure.

In your confirmed booking form, you will receive a reservation number for the ferry. You will use the number at the FRS office in the ferry Terminal in Tarifa in order to get your round trip ferry tickets.

While on the ferry from Spain, you shall stamp your passports inside by the Moroccan authority. You will hear an announcement informing you of this procedure. Usually it is hard to follow with. If you did not stamp your passport whil on the ferry, that would results in a delay when you arrive to Tangier.
