When booking a tour with us, you will have to follow easy and smooth steps. In order to make this process even easier for you, you will expect to go through the following:
Start your journey from the port of Tangier upon arrival. You can take any ferry coming from Tarifa, Spain. We would recommend the morning ferries so you can enjoy the vivid life of the city.
Your guide will meet you with a placard at the gate of the port, or any other location of your choice and you will embark upon your walking tour of the mysterious Kasbah and Medina.
Your first steps will be on the seashore of the beautiful Tangier. You will get to enjoy the fresh breezes of the Mediterranean, while discovering the modern section where all the coffee shops, restaurant and night life attractions are located. You will continue to the mystical Kasbah and
Medina by crossing the Mohammed V avenue to reach the April 9 th Square. This square is considered an introduction to the Medina of Tangier.
Pass through the main gate and into the ancient walls, officially welcoming you inside the beating heart of the Medina. Make a stop at the Anglo Saxon Church of St. Andrew, the Market, and then the Grand Socco before taking a leap into the amazing maze and the alleyways of the old city and the Petit Socco.
You are now at the Kasbah. The smell of history, ancestors and the legacy will take you back in time to an era where life was simpler. The Kasbah is a 15 th Century fortification proudly overlooking the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Spain. Intensify this experience with a visit to the
Museum of Mediterranean history, AKA Kasbah Museum, which was a palace where the Sultane once lived and ruled.
Crown this royal feeling by standing at the porch of Bab Bhar (The Gate into the Sea) where you can see Spain, Gibraltar and the calming blue sea intertwining to create a surreal portrait where space and time fade into oblivion and the only surviving fact is the beauty of the view. Follow the
Matisse Route down the labyrinth and alleyways of the Medina, which will take you to the artist’s favorite spots and gems, and finally stop at the historical Mendoubia Gardens.
Your guide will then escort you back to the port, walk you to any place of your choice or leave you at the heart of the Medina for some free time to wander on your own.
